Privacy Policy
Effective: June 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how PageWorks (the "Company," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit smallbizpageworks.com (the "Site") or contact us through it. By using the Site or submitting our contact form, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who we are
PageWorks builds and maintains subscription websites for small businesses. We are the business responsible for the personal information collected through this Site. For any questions about your privacy or this policy, email us at hello@smallbizpageworks.com.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you submit our contact form, we collect only what you choose to provide:
- your name,
- your phone number,
- your social media handle (Instagram / Facebook) — if you provide it,
- the package you're interested in and any message you write — if you provide it.
Information collected automatically. Our hosting server automatically logs standard technical data — such as your IP address, the date and time of your request, and your browser type — in server logs, for security and diagnostic purposes. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies on this Site.
Under U.S. state privacy laws, the categories of personal information we collect are identifiers (such as name, phone number, and IP address) and other information you voluntarily provide in your message. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, financial account numbers, or government IDs through this Site.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- respond to your inquiry and prepare a quote or proposal,
- contact you about your request and our services,
- operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Site,
- comply with our legal obligations and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.
4. How we share your information — and what we don't do
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run our business — for example, our hosting provider and the lead-management system we use to receive and respond to form submissions. These providers may use your information only to perform services for us, under contracts that require them to protect it.
We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California and other U.S. state privacy laws. We have not done so in the preceding 12 months.
5. Third-party resources
The Site loads fonts from Google Fonts and code libraries from a public content delivery network (jsDelivr). When these resources load, those providers may receive your IP address and process it under their own privacy policies. We do not control and are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.
6. How long we keep your information
We keep information from the form for as long as needed to handle your inquiry, and then for up to 12 months — unless we enter into a contract with you (in which case we keep it for the term of the contract and any period needed to enforce or defend claims) or you ask us to delete it sooner.
7. How we protect your information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your U.S. privacy rights
Depending on your state of residence (for example, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws), you may have the right to:
- know and access the personal information we have collected about you,
- request a copy of that information (data portability),
- correct inaccurate personal information,
- request that we delete your personal information,
- opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information (note: we do not sell or share it), and
- not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@smallbizpageworks.com. We will verify your request using the information you provide (such as your name and phone number) and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf where the law allows.
California "Shine the Light": California residents may request information about disclosures of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information for third-party direct marketing.
9. Cookies and "Do Not Track"
This Site does not use cookies for advertising, analytics, or tracking, and we do not track users across other websites or over time. Because we do not engage in cross-site tracking, we do not respond differently to browser "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signals.
10. Children's privacy
This Site is intended for business owners and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time — for example, when the law or the Site's features change. The current version is always available at smallbizpageworks.com/privacy-policy, along with its effective date. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above.
12. Contact us
If you have questions about this policy or how we handle your information, email us at hello@smallbizpageworks.com.
